Air Jordan 2011 - Red/Grey

It appears that Dwyane Wade will be making an NBA Playoff sneaker switch from the Air Jordan 2011 to the Jordan Fly Wade, but that doesn't mean that there aren't anymore new colorways of the flagship on deck. Seen here is a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 2011 that is making fans of THE Ohio State Buckeyes lose their minds. Sure, nothing suggests that this colorway was intended for them in particular, but the use of a red leather upper and light grey handcrafted Patina leather overlay makes these a must-have for anybody out in Columbus. Minimal hits of white accent branding on the tongue and heel, the laces and outsole.

If you remember, Ray Allen wore a similar make-up in blue for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game.

No word on a release date for these bad boys yet.................

Air Jordan 2011....... Yay Or Nay?

February 19, 2011 will see the release of the AJ2011. Rumor has it that two pairs will be made available to the public on release day. Your typical White/Black color scheme will drop along with a Foot Locker exclusive in White/ Red. Expected retail price will be $170.

Jordan enjoys marking the new year with a new silhouette that is meant
to carry on the legacy of Michael Jordan. The latest introduction is a
pair of Air Jordan 2011’s, the aesthetic of this pair is very similar to
the pairs designed during the heyday of Jordan brand. It is simplistic,
with interesting functional features such as an interchangeable sole
which has a torsion plate attached to the shoe. The interchangeable
soles feature the AIR technology which improves traction and landing on
your feet. This simple model features neat cuts and design ideas which
will help it stand out.

Vince Young OUT!!.....Fisher IN (Maybe)

Titans Statement on Vince Young:

STATEMENT FROM K.S. “BUD” ADAMS, JR.
“As you are aware, we have been engaged in a series of internal discussions over the last month about the future of our football team. We have two critical decisions to make – the direction of the coaching staff and the future at the quarterback position. They are separate issues to me and will be dealt with separately.

“Today, I informed our general manager Mike Reinfeldt to move forward with plans to begin the process of identifying the next quarterback for our franchise. He will inform Vince Young’s agent that Vince will not be on our roster next season. I want to offer my personal thanks to Vince for all of his positive contributions to the club. These kinds of decisions are never easy and this is especially true for this particular player. I certainly wish that things would have worked out better, but I think it is best for the franchise that we move on at this point.

“I also informed Jeff (Fisher) today that I was continuing the evaluation of the coaching staff and I am hoping to make a decision soon.”

STATEMENT FROM TITANS GENERAL MANAGER MIKE REINFELDT
“I talked with Vince’s agent Tom Condon today and informed him that Vince will not figure into the club’s plans for next season. Under league rules, Vince’s contract cannot be terminated until February 7 when waivers begin for the new season. Similarly, he cannot be traded to another club until trading begins on the first day of the league year. Until then, Vince is welcome to rehab his injury either here at our facility or elsewhere.

“I let Mr. Adams know that we will explore all of the options that are available to us to solidify the quarterback position for the upcoming season.”
